Automotive air conditioning compressor Common Faults and Instructions

    [Symptoms]

　　Now fitted to Iveco (IVECO) Diesel car air-conditioning compressor, the occurrence of electromagnetic coils, bearings and steel clutch failures are often burned during use.

　　【cause of issue】

　　According to long-term repair of this compressor experience, we found mainly in the following three kinds of reasons:

　　(1) Due to the electromagnetic clutch bearing the rings are made of plastic, if the lack of lubrication bearing, bearing rotating at high speed, it will produce a sharp rise in temperature friction leaving, so easy to burn plastic rings, poor bearing rotation, while also burned solenoid, bearings and clutch.

　　(2) air conditioning compressor electromagnetic clutch clearance general design for the 0.35-0.50mm, if the clutch gap is less than a predetermined value, while affected by the engine temperature, the air conditioning compressor clutch is installed beside the engine will produce steel thermal expansion, resulting in the clutch gapIt is too small, so after the closure of air or slipping clutch can not separate, so also easy to burn out solenoids, bearings, clutches and cooling system components.

　　(3) Since the air conditioning compressor control circuit plug loosening, resulting in poor contact, so that the voltage supplied to the solenoid coil decrease and the current instability, leading to the air conditioning compressor electromagnetic clutch engagement may sometimes separated, so working long hours, will burn bad clutch and electromagnetic coils.

　　Caution

　　In order to reduce the air-conditioning compressor failure Iveco, when using air conditioning in the attention to the following three points:

　　(1) Regular maintenance of the air conditioning compressor and oil filling and electromagnetic clutch bearings.

　　(2) should always check the air conditioning control circuit connector is connected in each case, if the problem should be immediately removed.

　　(3) If it is found the air conditioning compressor electromagnetic clutch gap is too small or can not separate, shims should be added to reach the required standard value or can be separated with ease so far.
